Caitlin S.
Private tutor in San Clemente, CA
Education
Budding physics major at Saddleback College, I've studied chemistry, ecology and biochemistry for four years while discovering my profound love for mathematics. This year I changed my major before spending big university cash. Saddleback employs me as a leader in our tutoring center, one of few multisubject STEM tutors. AS Degrees: Chemistry, Math, Liberal Studies, and next year: Biology and Physics.
Experience
Tutoring for almost ten years, I believe I've found my calling in teaching. My experience with elementary through college students provides a wide realm of sills in communication and especially understanding students's barriers in learning. Two of my favorite accomplishments: I've presented independent single authored biochemistry research in Brazil and led dialysis-alternative reaseach for my advisor for almost two years. I've been offered internships around the world and high level positions with companies like Web MD and Kalu Yala. I prefer teaching to marketing but understand the nuances of competing in our job market. I generally uphold solid boundaries between work and my social life.

Hobbies
I used to long board both the waves and pavement. Now I stick to boogie boarding and the occasional cruise around SC. I love sunshine and long deep breaths. Challenges and problems are no match for my "can-do" atitude. I learned at a young age, it's hella fun to be a Tomboy, good with tools and taking risks but I've also learned to embrace my self for whatever the day requires. Playing in the mud was all well and good, but I've since grown into a pretty balanced girly girl with a solid sense of adventure.
